Stay Consistent, Pitch Perfect, Endless Content
for writer, entrepreneur, and your self-improvement journey
Welcome to this week’s edition of the Self-improvement Spotlight.
In today’s newsletter, we’ll talk about…
How you can never run out of content ideas,
A business strategy wherein you can sell a product or service before you even launch it
Of course, the secret is how to be consistent with your habits or goals
Let’s dive in.
1. Self-improvement Corner:
Consistency is the key to building a habit or reaching a goal.
Most people struggle with this including me. So I tried almost all the tips and tricks on how to stay consistent. Those tricks might have worked on other people but not me. Until I discovered this tip, it wasn’t fancy and really simple to do especially with the rise of social media and the internet.
Find an accountability buddy/ group.
I found mine on Reddit, he was looking for an accountability buddy and we almost have the same goal. To be a better version of ourselves. For the next week, it became an accountability group with around 10 members when I was writing this newsletter. And it has done wonders to me.
I became more consistent with my goals, committed to my words, and more motivated to start a new challenge for myself.
If you are also struggling to become more consistent with your goals and habits try finding an accountability buddy/group. It can be someone you know already who is also interested in improving themselves and their craft or someone completely new who could potentially become a friend. This works because someone is checking on your progress and you can’t make lame or unacceptable excuses when you are working on your goals. Aside from that, looking at someone else’s progress can make you inspired to do your best as well.
Put yourself out there, and meet new people who have the same vision as you.
2. Writing Insights
How to never run out of content ideas again?
How can I never run out of content ideas?
Do you find yourself stuck sometimes in a blank page on your computer and you can’t write a word because you feel like you have nothing to talk or say about?
here are 3 ways I do it so that I can get the ideas flowing.
Reddit: search for the topic that you are interested in or already writing about and go to the subreddits that are related to that. Select a few and scroll or just search up words like ( Help, problem, struggle, how to, how can I, and how do I). Then pick which of these problems you want to talk about next in your blog, social media account, YouTube channel, and others.
Write your version of the idea that already exists. What do I mean by that? All the ideas that you read, watch on YouTube, or hear in a podcast are not original ideas coming from the creator. These are their take on the idea that already exists. Steal ideas from other creators and put your twist on them.
Use AI. Now it might be a little controversial to use artificial intelligence in your writing because some creators just use AI to write the whole article that they are supposed to write. Instead, I only want you to use AI to keep the ball rolling and generate some ideas to write about. Ask for topic ideas, a Title for your blog, or a title template that you can reuse for next time.
For now, that is all that I do to never run out of content ideas, but if you have any more suggestions DM me on LinkedIn and I’ll put it in my next newsletter. if you do that I will feature you in the creator’s corner so that people can know whose idea it came from.
3. Entrepreneurship Spotlight
Pre-sell your business idea before you even begin to launch.
Business owners spend so much money on their business before they even begin to earn some money and gain profit out of it. At first, I thought that is how it should go, capital then profit, but that is not the most efficient way to start a business. When I read this “Million Dollar Weekend” by Noah Kagan the founder of App Sumo, it changes everything. This might also be the reason why businesses fail.
Get 3 people to buy your product or service for 48 hours before it even exists.
Talk about the product or service that you are thinking of making a business into. This can be your family, friends, or even a stranger. If they are willing to pay for that business idea upfront before the business even exists, that means people are excited by your business idea. You are only allowed for 48 hours because you have no time to waste, and that creates urgency, it also allows you to be creative in your offer or way of convincing people to buy the product or service that you are thinking of.
4. Weekly Challenge.
Disclaimer: You don’t need to do all of the challenges mentioned below, however, it it encouraged to at least take one of these challenges that align with your goals.
